Notre voyage

Cultural Reconnection & Healing

Elders recount rituals and traditions around how births are celebrated with naming ceremonies and blessings, how marriages unite families and communities, and how departed loved ones are honoured with respect and sacred traditions. Through these rituals and traditions, our youth will see themselves as part of a lineage and community. They will learn traditional values of resilience, community, and respect for life’s milestones. According to research, when young people learn from their elders’ wisdom, it *helps them keep their culture alive, make wiser life decisions, and truly understand who they are. At the same time, the elders themselves gain fulfilment and even healing by passing on their knowledge – creating a powerful intergenerational bond of mutual respect and healing.
